Zero should take this match with Metal Sonic pretty easily.
Only way Metal wins is if they pull the same BS they did with Eggman vs Wily (and to be honest Wily should have won that as Eggman is easily predictable where as Wily tends to be quite challenging).

It's confirmed to be a direct sequel to Eggman vs Wily, seeing as Zero didn't appear in that episode at all, and in the Megaman games Wily created Zero and sealed him up due to malfunctions, but he wasn't activated til the X series came out, long after Wily had died.
