I wanted to get away from the humanoid design of this stereotypical fairy. For some reason the large eyes reminded me of mantis eyes, and with the idea of female mantises beheading their mates, it seemed fitting to make it seductive and keep the feminine body style. At first glance one would mistake this mantis creature for a tiny fairy.__________
