Sometimes it happens to me too, so I flip the picture when I see something weird ... however, a drawing teacher advised me not to do so ... hmmm, well, I think I need to train better at detecting this sort of things in my drawings.

the texture is a photo i took of a wall or concrete... cant remember which but it worked nicely for what i was doing

yeah it was either overlay or multiply at a lower opacity. I think i also desaturated the texture as well to make sure it was just its values and not its colour coming through.

Very solid - it reminds me of Doug Chiang's ink wash work. Any thoughts on adding color or are you quite done with this one for now?

It's actually a story - though the art is interesting it's not as practical as other books. But if your a fan of his work it's worth a flip through.
