(Er, I still feel like I'm submitting things to odd categories... but whatever.)Illustration 2 one week assignment. An editorial piece for an article about the Monkey King. It ended up looking something more like : Walt Disney presents, The Legend of the Monkey King... he's just so adorable *googly eyes*
Ah well, I like how the mountains came out behind him. They were a pain to do (as was the sky, but don't get me started on that).
All in all I am pleased with how this turned out.
Size -- 7.75"x9"
Medium -- Acrylic + a little colored pencil

This is so awesome guy. The texture in the rocks and mountains and how the colore fades in the back give it a old scroll look. Inspiring.
