can i ask you something? whats your thoughts on undertale as a whole?Β honestly the one thing i didnt like about undertale and (follow me on this one ok? hey hey HEY drop the adult rifle alright? geez...hate crime much?) is its gameplay and well its a personal opinion really but hear me out...
the whole earthbound like gameplay wasn't doing it for me i would have liked a traditional rpg style (like Final Fantasy) or rather a real time rpg and some action (maybe adventure) but then again maybe that'd be too complex and time consuming :/ thats just me but i agree to the fact that this game stands strong with its OST (and the characters behind it)

What i like the most is the story and the secrets. How you can think in theories because the dont give you all the information of the story. I also like how diferent is the game, just like Off or Oneshot.
About the gameplay i think the genocide route should be more difficult (and its annoying that you must kill every monster) but its not that bad because for all the fellings in the battles (omg i could even kill Sans because i was crying 24/7).
I like the battles, all the system. You say you prefer something like FF but Undertale have the basic. The bad....... its so short (i can finish it in 30-60 mins).
Summary: i like it because of the story and the combat system its perfect (more dificult than hit a bottom and attack or dodge)

The genocide route was designed to be easy. When the game is more difficult, it gives you a chance to replay certain parts and take the time to soak everything in. The genocide route was made to make you look like a cold, distanced monster, so making the genocide gameplay easy allows for you to fly past important parts without the chance to give a second thought. Pretty friggin' brilliant if you ask me.

difficult? it felt kinda short to me :/ despite long grinding wiping out monsters....and FF is just an example of a basic rpg gameplay but I'm talking other greens of rpg gameplay besides the earthbound looking one. idk I'm just saying is all.
but don't get me wrong the story and the characters and fascinating and the music surely sets the tone of the setting

yeah ofc xD and yes, as i said, its short but remember that Undertale cost only 9 euros (11 dollars?) and it was made for only 2 persons, in this way you cant compare it with a rpg made by squarenix or big companies like that
