Hello this is the critique you requested from Traditional Media:

This is a lovely drawing and there are only a few things that really jump out at me as needing to be addressed. Firstly its his head - the front part where his bangs come down and his ear are fine. but his cranium beyond that seems to actually be disconnected from the front part of his head and appears to be going in a different direction (thanks to the flatness and direction of the part in his hair) and the fact that his hair seems to fall directly behind his head rather than draping over his shoulders even the slightest bit. I would make the top of his head just a little bit lower, about a quarter of an inch, and draw a guiding line around his head starting at his chin from the center of his face, going up and around his head dividing it into two parts. this always gives you a really great direction for part lines in hair and makes it easy to see the curvature of the head. With the part line as it is, it appears as if his head just goes straight back and drops off, rather than gently curving downward. I find it always helpful to draw the head without hair first, and then add hair based on the head itself. Draping a little hair over his shoulders to show that his hair is flowing back behind him would also help the disconnection i feel between them.

aside from the shape of the head the only thing i can suggest is to possibly use a different color for the shadowing on his skin. I suggest a color that is a little more bluish - and to work on the shading of the face. mainly because although i can TELL its supposed to be shadow, it also has a tendency to look a lot like dirt on his face, lol.

all in all a fairly successful piece, good work

Handsome man, dramatic lighting, eyes of a wolf. Very nice drawing. Perhaps the nose could have done without the dark outlining (unless that bold pronouncement of the feature was your intention) because the rest of the face looks natural and smooth due to shading and the nose seems to rely too much on those lines for definition. That dark patch of shadow on the left eye seems to extend too far into the bridge of the nose. I don't think his face is so angular that such a harsh shadow would be cast. (I mean that the way that area is shaded gives the appearance of a strictly sharp edged nose.) The beard may also look better without the outlining on the top. It looks slightly stuck-on.
One last observation the hair on his right. the front strands seem to run into and flow along with those that should be in the back. Perhaps it's an illusion but it causes a loss of perspective and the head seems a lopsided. The left eye seems too far on the side, and maybe, since the title deals with the eyes, the eyes could have gotten a little more attention.
Other than that, I know not what to say. Gorgeous piece, awesome mood, good-looking anatomy (those hands!) and pretty good lighting. Good job.

wow, beautiful portrait. his glare is so disturbing :3 I really like the lines here. though light looks a bit flat, I think you could as well add more reflections of the light here and there (especially on hair) and enhance contrast, like you did on his face (which came out just awesome). also, if the source of light is behind his back, his shirt, chest and lute should be a lot darker, I believe. anyway, wonderful work
