Yes, I like the contrast. Sometimes the coolest thing about a photo is seeing something in it you didn't see when you took it! Or someone else for that matter. (And boyfriends deserve more credit than they get sometimes)

Yeah I agree. The problem is that it isn't always easy to find flowers planted in a place where they can serve as background for other flowers without setting it all up. I've got more than a few with green backgrounds

The others are right, that is a terrific background. Our tulips are just starting to pop, I'm hoping they will bloom really nice this weekend after a couple days of rain.

Some fire engine red ones have bloomed in the last couple of days, and I got some really nice shots over the weekend. Although the nicest one was of one which hadn't even opened.
