Download for full-sized imageSo I'm working on some designs for an upcoming project, and I have to design SO MANY ALIENS! Oi! I've been trying to get feedback from friends, but the ones who have gotten back to me haven't been super helpful, so I'm hoping that some advice from other artists will help out a little more.
Basically, each race is specifically bred for a certain task that they perform exclusively. I'm fairly sold on all of them except the Military (which is like the governor's secret police), the Businessmen, and Marketing. Input on the collection as a whole is appreciated too. Do they feel like they're from the same universe? Are there too many similarities, or something I should change about something to make it cooler/more relatable? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I think they all look really awesome, only real nit-pic I can see is you could make your military guy more gruffer.
I suggest perhaps looking up the aliens from the Mass Effect video game series, that might help inspire some more 'gruffer' ideas there.

This might not be the kind of feedback you're after, but uh...
I gotta say, agree with your standpoint, I -adore- just about all of them, except the military and marketing ones. I can totally imagine the businessmen toting cigars and briefcases, and I can definitely imagine them all in the same universe.
For the 'Military' one, The way I see it, you could go for something along the lines of a brutish thug 'jar-head' type of Military look, with broader shoulders, more focus on the biceps and a flat-ish plated forehead, Or the kind of imposing 'interrogator' look, where they are tall, with sharp defined cheekbones, and narrow eyes, while at the same time having a fairly broad chest, and slender limbs and have some sort of uniform, particularly if they are a kind of secret police. Perhaps some kind of insectoid wearing something Akin to a trenchcoat.
For the marketing one, I like the tail, it's reminiscent of a chameleon, and it's amusing to imagine that, depending on the emotion they want to convey in an advert, they could perhaps change colour, i.e. blue for sad, red for angry. etc etc. But I think they could stand to look slightly cuter(?) since when I think 'marketing' I think advertising, and when I think advertising, I think peppy overenthusiastic people trying to sell you things!
Perhaps have the eyes looka bit more like the Communications Alien, so they can seem more peppy and chirpy. The sort of curl of their head could perhaps come forward toward an eye to convey a look similar to a 60's housewife? As for what they'd wear, perhaps something quite flashy. I picture in my head something like Ulala from Space Channel 5.
