I watched Princess and the Frog again last night! Every time I see that movie, I love it even more. The character designs and backgrounds are so beautiful that every time I watch it, I come home and feel inspired to draw another picture.
So, if you've seen the movie, you know exactly which part this is. Course, they were frogs at the time, but I wanted to draw Tiana all pretty and singing with the colorful lights all over the place.
I didn't quite get the look on Naveen's face right, but I got tired of fiddling with it. Right when I think I'm getting better at facial expressions, I find one that I just can't nail XP

Oh, I love Naveen's expression! I love when he gives Tiana *those eyes* and you can tell he's falling more and more in love with her (and I, in turn, fall more and more in love with him). The lighting in this drawing is absolutely gorgeous.

Oftentimes during the movie it's hard for me to imagine that the frogs and the people are the same characters. But this is totally awesome!

Beautiful, captures that moment perfectly. I love the way you handled the light reflections and the dress Tianas wearing, I really like her in yellow for some reason. Good call having Naveen lean against the tree like that, it really captures his *omg, enamored* state.

I wish the same thing! I mean, I love the movie, and I loved them as frogs, and the animators did an AMAZING job of capturing the characters look and personalities when they were frogs, but I still wish there was more human time in the movie.

I loved the movie, saw it 6 times, but I honestly thought it lacked that "depth" that all other Disney movies have, you know?
I also think they tried too hard to press the love thing..

That whole Evangeline scene where they're dancing, I ALWAYS try to picture it in my head if they were human.
