Continuing with my X-men character designs for my comic. This is Jonothan "Jono" Starsmore aka Chamber. He's one of the lesser-known mutants. He can release psionic energy from his chest and mouth in explosions or laser beams or whatever. Whe he first came into his powers, the uncontrolled blast blew off most of his mouth and chest, so he's just got a big gap filled with flaming psionic energy right there. He's only in my comic for a little while, but he's a fun character. Complete disregard for uniform dress code, and has a generally bad attitude. Fun to write

Jono is an awesome character. I'm glad they brought him back into the Marvel universe.
Love the picture too. The shadows in the explosive version are really neat.

yeah i read his bio in my X-Men Ensyclpida. he also has minor telepathy as well and some flight abiliy. i think his mutation was triggered when a girl he liked kissed him and he killed her instantly or injured her when his powers manifested at that moment. i dont think he was cocky though oh well i might re-read the book. but i know he becomes one of the teachers though. i agree with you one of the lesser known mutants

I never got to see him in the comics, although i did see someone pretending to be chamber in the 'Runaways' comic. I thought he looked spiffy ^^
