Kitty Pryde and Piotr (Peter) Rasputin from X-Men. I was reading some old X-men comics today at work, and I got to the part where they introduced Kitty Pryde for the first time, and I was kinda disappointed. She didn't look or act like a 14-year-old. And that made me kinda sad, cause I really like Kitty Pryde. So I kinda had this idea to do my own Kitty Pryde story, that mostly focused on her emotional issues and her relationship with Peter. I wanted to get out my character designs, but I didn't wanna do my normal sketchy thingies, so this is what I did.

Kitty looks a little young, but I think I like it that way. She is only 14, after all, and I think she should be short for her age, just cause the height difference between her and Peter is so funny. And Peter's just freakin huge normally anyway, so it's even funnier if she's shorter.

As far as Peter goes, though, I really need to get better at drawing really muscley guys if I wanna do this. Cause you can argue against some super-heroes being super-muscley, like Spider-man or Hawkman or Superman or Cyclops... They don't need to be huge and muscley, but they are, because that's most American comic book artist's thing. But Colossus has to be big and muscley. That's part of his mutation, part of what makes him an X-man. So, I gotta get better at that. If anyone knows any stock photo sites or reference picture sites with REALLY big guys, I'd love the link. Or even just advice on drawing uber-muscley guys. That'd help too.

So, hopefully I'll actually get around to doing this. Cause I wanna. A lot. I think Kitty deserves it. And Kitty and Peter are my favorite comic book couple ever
