Hawthorn’s eyes flickered white, any semblance of the dragon Sundew had previously known seemed to fade away completely, like seeds taken away by the breeze. He was a husk, a vessel, for something far more sinister. Even with the shock of watching an entire dragon become nothing in front of her eyes, that still did not compare to the fear that gripped Sundew’s heart at the sound of Willow’s horrified scream. Wrapped around her neck was one of those slithering beasts Hawthorn seemed to love so much, it’s eyes the same greenish white and it’s fangs inches away from Willow’s neck. So much anger flooded Sundew’s system and she struggled against the vines that held her down, and she cried out with pure frustrated terror, terror of losing the only dragon she’ll ever love, but alas she could do nothing except watch as the scene unfolded before her. In Willow’s eyes held a message; be strong Sundew, they told her, I’ll be alright.
