I completed the game with "Promise of a Reunion" I heard it's the best ending but Mary was left all alone , __ ,

Another ending, "Together Forever" gets Mary out, but not Gary.

I got "Together Forever" too but Garry left dead in there is sadder than leaving Mary alone in the Painting World.
But I think I understood why Kouri-sama didn't do a "All Happy" ending. >>

I think it makes more of a bigger impact when there is no 'true ending' . More people remember it because they were somewhat frustrated that the ending only allowed them to save one but leave behind the other.
Though, this is based on my own speculation seeing that Kouri-sama had already thought of a great story but ended the game on a bittersweet note.
