I started this back in March, but there were issues with the basic sketch so it got put down for 2 months until May. I put most of of my effort into it during May, but there was still some things left on my to do list for this. I've recently fixed some of the the original mistakes I've made on thisHowever this sat in my WIP folder for over 4 months so It's accumulated more than enough of my dislike for it.
I put in more than 150 hours total for this so I might as well post it. It would be a waste of my time otherwise.
Blue Exorcist is currently my second favourite manga/anime of all time, right under One Piece and seated just above FMA. I've got some other fan art for it, but i'll finish that at another time.

My god this looks amazing. The lighting and colours I like a lot. The textures are an awesome touch too.

AoEx managed to work it's way up to my second favourite manga/anime slot.
The anime is pretty close to the manga up until episode 16, then the anime takes a different path in order to reach a conclusion. The manga is still ongoing and is currently getting really good.
You have to read and watch it to get the full experience but either option is pretty good on its own.
And your list of things to watch can't be bigger than my "To Do" Art list.

I just haven't had any inspiration at all recently. Thank goodness school started up again, I can like...upload some of my work from my newer classes.
I should probably also upload some of my work from earlier semesters...considering I don't think I ever did any of that.

well i think it's pretty fantstic. My favorite is the little pig demon to the left of the personesque dude. Dont be hard on yourself. That's some amazing use of perspective there, and it has a very strong mood to it (which is difficult to do). In fact, just because of this, I'm considering reading it. those little things will only ever bother you.

That's my favourite one of them, he turned out the best.
I like drawing things in a night setting. lighting is a lot of fun when it's night
but i'm allowed to be hard on myself I spent more than enough time on it to be hard on myself. if it was any less acceptable I would not have posted it.
hopefully my other fan art of this series is easier to fix. I like the other thing I drew for Blue Exorcist a lot more. mostly because this adorable asshole is in it ->

and you should totally read it. there are currently 46 chapters out with 47 existing in raw so far for the manga.
the anime is well worth a watch too, that however is completed and takes a different turn from the manga. it has 25 episodes, several OVAs and one movie which exists on the internet in raw.
