Continuing with the spooks while we run the event at Drakonian Palace c:
[EVENT HUB] A Can Full of Mysteries,Festival of the Shadows started not so long ago, filling palace streets with colorful mess of decorations, food stalls, festive games, performance stages, and Drakonians of all ages dressed up in fancy costumes. Seeing as this evening would be perfect for a walk around all the small shops and festivities prepared by others, you decide to go out and, after a while, find yourself on one of the less frequented streets. Hearing a faint “psst!” coming from one of the darker alleys, your first thought is that maybe it was just your imagination, but stopping in your tracks is enough for the voice to speak again. 'Yeah, you, come here. I might have something you’ll be interested in.' After a brief fight between your common sense and curiosity, you decide to follow that mysterious voice, only to discover that the owner of the said voice is a brightly smiling gearco, twirling a key on his claw while leaning on what looks like a shop stand but made entirely out of sticks and cardboard boxes.'Ah, welcome, welcome to my humble shop, dear benefactor. You look like someone who knows how to make good deals, and boy, do I have one just for you. What would you say? Care to spare a moment to listen to my story? I can assure you, you won’t regret it.' Gearco says in a singsong voice, beckoning you to come closer with a wave of his paw. Remembering that not everything that seems scary ends up being that way, you decide, to the joy of the mysterious seller, to approach his stall, cautiously looking around.'Don’t be scared. I’m just a humble entrepreneur at your service, dear benefactor. And boy, do I have a deal for you!' Gearco bows a little with a mysterious smile on his face. 'I’m Cuks. It’s a name from ancient times, the meaning of which was long forgotten, but some believe it brings prosperity and luck. Speaking of which, I hope you have time to listen to my tale. I can assure you it will be beneficial to both of us.' seeing a hesitant nod from you, the seller continues. 'Some time ago, I stumbled across a curious creature. Its shadowy figure and glowing eyes instantly spiked my interest, so I decided to learn more about them. In my search, I discovered that their keen eyes can easily spot all sorts of valuables. Imagine how helpful it would be to befriend one of them! All the treasure they could find for you! Surely, it's a good idea to have a critter like that. And to get more than one? You could become wealthy in no time! Oh? You’re wondering why I’m not looking for them myself? See, during the Festival I’m pretty busy with my little shop. I can’t just leave customers without my services, can’t I? But worry not. There is still a way we can join our forces.' Cuks looks at you with a serious gaze, still playing with his key. 'Being a shop owner grants me access to quite a lot of useful information, and it happens that I might have just heard rumors about bright-eyed shadowy creatures being noticed here and there. I would gladly share those insights with you, dear benefactor, for a low price of 1000 Shadow Candy. Or even better! Since I took a liking to you, I’ll tell you a thing or two about those critters each time you make some purchases from my shop. Call it a little "bonus" from yours truly. That way, I can sell some of my wares and earn Shadow Candy, while you can acquire rare items AND grab a treasure-hunting companion that will help you multiply your savings!', TRASH TOURING CREATURELately, in the darker alleys of Natural Palaces, where elemental-infused trash is being thrown away, some Drakonians started spotting small, shadowy creatures with glowing eyes. What are those mysterious things, where did they come from, and what is their purpose? Fret not. Cuks, a munificent shop owner, might be of help. For a small price of just a few (hundred) Shadow Candy, he will gladly share the information he gathered with anyone interested.Cuks' Shady Booth is now open for business! What are marami
Subtypes:
Marami are one of the most recognizable native Drakonian species of Sakhengell and, alongside silbals, the only remaining descendants of beasts that ruled over the archipelago over two thousand years ago. Although much smaller and not as feral, they kept many traits of their ancestors, who lived in small stationary or nomadic packs and were known for their unique communication system. Modern marami tend to live in more diverse Drakonian communities due to their highly developed adaptive and social skills. Marami's ability to split their tail and enter a state of split mind lets them perform multiple tasks at once and learn faster than most Drakonian species, though surprisingly, they tend to be quite incompetent at using magic until they fully develop their mind-splitting abilities. Although the feather crest around the marami's tail does not have any functionality outside of being a remnant of their ancestors' ways of attracting mates, marami, to this day, are extremely proud of those and often run feather beauty contests.
