Description So I bought some fish, and decided that it was enough justification to clean out my desk and closet. Requiring that it takes 10 minutes to find a small sketchbook helped support the radical actions.

Fishies, they sweem!

And then I had fun and transformed my two binaltechs and my three movie deluxe figurines for another hour.

And then I had MORE fun and put them in fun poses. Wheeljack, Grimlock, and the Target special ed. Optimus Prime DVD case comes next...depending on whether or not I'm going to Photoshop more after finishing my Logic homework, given that I plan to draw after that, and then work on my Korean.

How do you make such perfect speech bubbles?

Trial-and-error.

I fiddled with the Photoshop tools, like "free transform" and "distort". Seriously, they're life savers.

I've had photoshop for a year, and I still don't know what all is in it. And I just have Photoshop Elements! I can't imagine CS2.

Oooh...you'll have to get CS, CS2, or CS3. Beg it for Christmas and the like. In the meantime...get to know your Elements like its your lover. I did...and it made using the real Photoshop so much easier, XD

Just fiddle with the tools. Seriously. Sometimes the best way to learn is to test things out for yourself. Tuts and stuff, the're useful, but they're only one method of doing certain things. Trial-and-error can reveal much, MUCH more. But tuts are still super useful; I learned a lot about Photoshop to add to what I already found out.

That's some good advice.

Is there any benefit to having CS3 rather than CS2?

It boots up MUCH faster than CS2. That's one noticeable difference. Another is that, in my opinion, everything's much more streamlined. It's an actual improvement, . Most people stick to Photoshop 7 (the Old Reliable; it never fails you), but CS3 (to me) is just as good.

I'm a sucker for flashy graphics. I would probably prefer CS3.

I haven't seen anyone dealing with CS or CS2 in the longest time; it's either 7 or CS3. So you can go either way.

My mom bought CS2 for work, but she never uses it. I found it kind of large and complex. Granted, anything I get is going to be complex, but CS2 didn't seem as user friendly as I'd like.

No, it's not. But you might as well make use of it while it's there. You're super lucky to have a legal copy; I'm trying to save up some money for a legal copy of CS3, so I can get free updates and stuff,

*snorfle*

Eh, free updates scare me with Microsoft. I believe in the conspiracy that they plant viruses to corrupt your computer within three years of purchase. I've never seen a PC last longer.

Macs PWN.

I have. It was pretty crappy in the end...wait, my aunt's PC was super stable...wait, our old Toshiba was super stable. It never died on us, not even with all the years it was gaining. Think we had it at least five years, and it still works. Its only intarweb connection is dial up, but it rarely, if ever, flicked you off.

...and I can't use Macs. Seriously, XD
