Third picture of my old series "Animal planet", which was about representing the solar system as fantastic animals.
Earth was difficult to decide. It had to be something big and related to both earth and water. Following this logic, the turtle also made sense, but at the end I decided to make an hippocampus to represent our planet. And for those who don't know why is the Moon a rabbit, maybe this link can help

Yes, in part. Aztecs also saw a rabbit on the moon, I'm Mexican, so I heard of the rabbit since I was little

I love this to death and i'm not trying to hate, but at the state earth is at now because of humans, i don't think this is an honest representaion of earth, She should be depressed and covered in garbage and polloution but still appearing beautiful underneath the trash. please don't hate on me, this is an honest opinion and i don't want anybody to be mad at what i have to say, it's my opinion, not yours. if you don't agree, pay no attention to this comment.
