Finally finished another big piece > I honestly don't know what's longer... colouring the hair or colouring all those individual sneks
...I really should start making some of my own material source so I can just whip them out whenever I need'em kekek
This is my first time colouring everything in with ClipStudioPaint! It was actually not as bad as I thought.
I still prefer sketching on SAI but atleast with ClipStudioPaint I won't have to worry about losing too much work incase I forget to save and a crash occurs.
God Bless CSP's auto save every 10min and recovery!!!
I also couldn't keep my hands off of all those nice fancy texture/custom brushes * W * Still need to find me an oil paint brush that I like.
The default one doesn't have a nice tappered end and I dunno how to change that :/ Maybe I should google some more.
what else am I forgetting...

I got into Clip Studio Paint a few days ago too! I can't believe how nice the brushes are! plus the symmetry ruler tool is super useful for when you need to draw a front view and you're lazy//shot
I'm most excited about the lace and flower brushes! I always get too lazy to draw them so I'm glad they're there XD

That's def what I came here for! The custom brushes * W * Literally like SAI + PS together xD so perf
Oooo where can you use the symmetry ruler tool o v o I've never heard of it/used it before, sounds really cool!
oh yeah I def agree esp if it's something repetitive to draw/use like cherry blossoms for example.
Will def cut down the time spent on hand doing everything yourself.
Tho I think we still gotta be careful with using them o v o sometimes the brushes maybe too detailed looking or maybe too simple to properly
blend in with our own artstyle and can end up sticking out a bit like a sore thumb.
I'd say if you got time maybe it's better to try and make some of your own material that way you can say it's fully your work and it'll blend in with your artstyle aswell o w o

I was convinced by a friend who said the symmetry tool might be good for weapon designing so I tried it and fell in love <3
Symmetry ruler is one of the options in the triangle ruler tool and it basically creates mirror planes where you can draw on onside and the same thing but reverse will appear on the other plane, it's really useful for symmetrical things which I normally hate drawing lol XD
Me and my 3 cherry blossom brushes would agree XD but I hate how the brushes aren't transparent though, they always have this coloured background which is a pain when I'm trying to incorporate it into the drawing DX
I agree about the complexity thing! it would definitely look off if everything else is simple and that one thing is not lmao, that's a good idea! maybe one day if I don't get too lazy XD

OMG YEAHHH I was like "wait why did this turn into this colour? huhhhhh???" I was so confused when I first started using them.
you'd prob have to line over them again or better yet use them on a seperate layer and change the layer mode into multiply and then
all the white spots will become transparent * O *!!!

But if you want to colour the lines afterwards you get kinda screwed though, plus white outlines don't work either 
What I do is I draw whatever I want down with a white background and black lines, and then I copy and paste that onto SAI (but I think CPS might have this function too). hit luminance to transparency and then I'll get the transparent lines~ and I'll just have to copy and paste that onto my canvas afterward and use it as lineart
It works even if you want a white outline so I thought it might be nice to know~

Ahh!! Make sure you keep whichever the one that colours in everything as white and then the other colour to the colour of your choice!
That way atleast you're not too entirely screwed over o' w 'o)9

Yeah that's definitely a useful trick! but it doesn't really work with white outlines though, everything disappears when you try to use multiply XD
Another useful thing about the luminance to transparency thing is that you can change the colour of the outlines after~ where as if you try to recolour the flowers on multiply it changes into a colour blob lol
