Shizame Akanzatsu, A name known by many as one of the many warriors heavily trained to enter the Witches Territory and take them down as a powerful low men army. They were called the Golden wraths, and their main goal were to kill the higher rank witches, so their army would crumble and surrender, finally allowing the war to end.

While they did succeed in murdering countless witches and sorcerers, they did not took this assault without a last resort plan, thus releasing the deadliest beast ever seen to man. Nocstruma the queen of the abyss, world ender, devourer of souls was conjured to this land . It managed to cause serious damage before an unknown force took it down with little effort, Many believe the being was a god protecting his land, other said it might be a witch who had enough.. While One particular person claimed it was either, but a higher being which reeked of death, it simply killed the beast telling the witness that their world end was not meant to be now, that her action were not to save any of them, but to let nature do its work, time devouring the past until none but ashes remains.

The witness were non other than Yaelnita, leader of the witches. She was once the wife of king Yeron, but his abusive behavior forced her to almost assassinate him before running away. Then Yeron ordered the execution of all sorcerer and Witches living within the city. For years there has been nothing but bitter history between the east and west, claiming there would never be a day when both side settled things down peacefully.

Until the day Shizame found her lair, as he was about to attack her, Yaelnita begged for him to listen to her, that she knew a quick and efficient solution to end the war without any further bloodshed. Thus they both agreed to the plan, Shizame and Yaelnita were to be married, proving that not all citizen of the east were wild animals , some were thinking and ready to stop fighting.

Their effort managed to come to fruition, but sadly the peace did not last long. When a group of oppressed witches claimed Yaelnita as a coward, to have surrendered to the east when their dream were to destroy them all, they fled north to find a better position to continue the war. Their homeland was barely livable with all the war damage and creature casted by them that turned against their caster.

With the flame of war kindled once again, Yaelnita plan failed and she saw no hope for a peaceful future, she wanted to exit this world but Shizame prevented her. Said that she should not give up, that there is still hope and if they fight togheter, they could perhaps finally end the conflict of hatred between these 2 nations. Sadly Yaelnita did not see eye to eye, and cast a curse on Shizame before running away.

As the curse slowly ate him from the inside, his sclera black as the abyss, his flesh once pink, now dark as the night. Black markings appeared on his body as Shizame remembered an ancient artifact Yaelnita kept at their home, a collar made by the first witches who came to the swamp, as long as they wore these, any disease or poison were postpone, allowing them to remain alive, but this effect only last until the collar is removed, which would allow the curse to finish the job it started.

He does not know if the collar of the curse changed his body, but he felt much more quicker, have a higher pain threshold and surprisingly he was able to cast magic , Not all element, simply wind and lightning. With these powers he could still be mighty useful to the east in their continuation of the war. But Shizame had enough.

He threw his armor away and gave up on his life as a soldier. He vanished for a few years before he was seen again as a mercenary, taking jobs most wouldnt bother such as killing deadly creature threatening a village , getting rid of bandits attacking caravans or simply rescuing someone.

While he does not fight for any side of the war, he attempts to make the life of citizens safer, by taking care what both side of the army would not risk a few men doing. While he does many job for money, he is not without moral, if the job is against his principle or requires to kill an innocent person he will not take the contract, and he might even get rid of the employee if his contract is a threat to many people.

While he can take any contract from around the land, he rather stay close to home, up north, it is well known that a Salva'orek who stays out of the cold lands of the north for too long, tends to be cranky and less tolerant of every tiny detail, a simple sound can piss them off to start a fight. it is not a easy thing to control especially since the witches who fled north took over their city, forced many into slavery while others were forced to run away, immigrate either south or East. And they are not the least happy to live elsewhere than north. They are a proud species of warriors who boast about their superiority due to be able to live where any other species would quickly die fast without so many layers of protections .

Those who cant accept the climate change either go feral, become extremly bitter people, or loses slowly their culture, Cutting off their mane which is another of their pride.
