Description Experimentation has been happening a lot lately.
This one isn't entirely successful (dere's a helmet on his head only not LOL ashleyfail) but I'm trying to figure out how to combine things I like and am good at/things people enjoy in my work XD
Not enough of 'my own hand' has gone into the more recent stuff I've been doing, but I've been doing it as a more efficient and less limited alternative to the pencil illustrations I do, which are so limited to greyish palettes, and take me for friggin ever >8
So I'm looking for a happy in between.
Some more lively pencil work+nice saturated but thicker digital brushstrokes.

Still working on it... blah
Ideas? Feedback? I'm all ears :3

Beautiful The colours are amazing together. Just one little thing: the nose seems a little out of shape, but I think there's also some kind of highlight missing on it, it's darker than the rest of his face. (the highlighted parts )

Thank you for the feedback but I was looking for comments/thoughts on the style of the technique I'm using, I'm not too concerned that the lighting isn't very consistent/that sascha has a really weird nose XD

If the intention was to make it look like a shadow from a window frame, it worked (although it also looks like a helmet xD). The expression's great as usual.
Looking forward for more drawings.

I like what's going on in this style. It reminds me of something between pastel pencils and oils.

Well I for one am liking what I am seeing! I love the way you did the colour on his face, it`s so... I can`t even explain it, I just adore it. You draw such beautiful faces.
