Started out screwing around on my new CS5. Then I got a little crazy with it. This may be the first time I've been pleased with how a digital piece of mine turned out. So happy yay!Related content

Well at the time this was all very new to me. I hadn't really drawn birds before, so looking at references and crap took some time for the sketch. Aaaand then it was the first piece I did in CS5 and it took another large chunk of time to figure out all the nifty new options it has (compared to my old elements 7)
So without knowing what I was doing and spending most of the time ogling at references and photoshop tuts it took about half a day. But if I were to do it now that I'm more acquainted I would say about 2-3 hours.

Seriously awesome job here! CS5 is lovely, isn't it? xD I absolutely love this picture. Did you overlay a photo or something for the snow? I did that on a picture recently and the effect looks quite similar~ [link] But anyway the effect is very well used here and really adds to the picture over all. I love it
