Man. Two deviations in one day. Am i on fire or what?

And speaking of which, this latest deviation is the second generation crossover between two versions of one character in mind. This time, it's none other than the devious and evil King of the Koopas himself, Bowser. Well, Bowser AND his equally cartoony counterpart, King Koopa, from the Super Mario cartoons.

Behind the reason of bringing these two in one art is to explain that i've once drawn Bowser before, although there's more to it than just drawing the big Koopa King himself. As everyone know... or mostly, for those who have once watched "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show", as well as "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" and the Super Mario World cartoon (as part of Captain N and the new Super Mario World, of course)... well, basically, those who watched these shows, knows that Bowser was portrayed as the one to the right of this deviation, meaning with a complete green body, a darker green shell and a crown on his head.

However, in the first Super Mario cartoon, he was simply called King Koopa. At that time, i stuck myself with that name for the evil Koopa King himself for quite a long while. But then, during the syndicated run of the Captain N and the Video Game Masters show, the name Bowser suddenly popped in my mind during one episode of the Super Mario Bros. 3 cartoon, although at first, i was uncomfortable calling King Koopa by his real name, that being Bowser. But as months went by, his real name finally stuck in my mind and i began to completely forget the name of King Koopa, eventually stucking myself with his real name... although his full name IS King Bowser Koopa, though technically, Bowser was the only name for this big brute that got stuck in my mind since then.

Anyway, as for the drawing style of Bowser, i used to draw the big Koopa King in his cartoon form at first, although i then tried to draw the big guy in his game format. But i wasn't satisfied with it, so i just forgot about it for a long time... until i've drawn him for real. As proof, the Grand Theft Auto Bowser deviation is in my gallery and a proof that i was able to finally draw him as we're all familiar with the big guy.

One thing kinda bugs me though: If the cartoon creators wanted to draw Bowser for a cartoon show, couldn't they have tried to draw him, just like in the same style of the Mario anime? I guess we'll never know that answer.

Regardless of that, this was something i owe to two deviants in mind, those being and , as both of them are Bowser fans, not to mention that the former will soon celebrate his birthday on May 12th (if i'm not mistaken), so this will be my birthday gift in advance for him. For the latter, it's mostly a gift art for him, due to his Bowser fanatism.

As for the themes in mind, for the video game version of Bowser, i gave him the Super Paper Mario version of the Bowser Battle, while for his cartoony counterpart, i simply gave him the Super Mario Bros. 3 Airship theme, 8-Bit style. Kinda simple, but it works.
