So yee ... this would've been Rick if I didn't make him into a happy-go-lucky, friendly -cinnamon roll that he is today owo
'Evil Rick' is sinister, evil (duh) and has pretty much an obsession of killing his former friend Vincent and wants to see him suffer for killing him.
Noooo, he's not insane at all! And not one of the most OP Characters ever created, nooooooooooooooooo : D (Never give a maniac ultimate Power, that's why normal Rick isn't as dangerous as this Version of him :'3)
But yeah, I'm in love with my Shadow Lord again; both his normal Version and this 'past' one. God dang you; that's why I ship you with ur best friend, Rick! I just love you two too much ... :'D

I've heard that artists get better with expression for their characters if they use ref's, look at a mirror & copy their own expressions, o use some1 else posing for them & stuff...
& I've been curious for a lil while...
Which 1 of those methods do ya use ta convey/ draw expression (facial & body language) o do ya use some other method???
If this was already asked & answered in another post, just ignore this question & I'll comment, "Ohhh!!! That's how!!!", on said post when I come across it. Heh heh... :'3

I actually don't use references. I rarely use my hands for references if I have difficulty with drawing hands and I cought myself a couple of times making slightly the same expression like my characters. I REALLY REALLY RARELY look up some expressions I saw before on Tumblr or something I could take some tipps from. But all in all ... I don't use refs at all, I always go, and bare with me here, with 'feeling'. Trying to 'feel' my way to a natural and nice expression.
That also goes for the rest of my art, I just 'feel' my way through drawing stuff 99.999999999% of the time X'D
(That's also why I have so much problems with Anatomy and Perspective, cuz I dun use references n stuff :'3)

Well, 'feeling' and 'experience'.
I'm my own worst critic, I see my own mistakes and even study them to an extend, thinking on what I could've done and what I could do better next time. I also see other art and start thinking how I can add and improve my own art next time I draw something. Most of this though is subconscious soo yee X'D
