It really does! I still want to build a metal storm sniper rifle some time.

What about a MetalStorm pistol? That's unique.. I remember back in the early 2000s seeing a photo of a Glock styled MStorm pistol

Didn't HK try something out like that?
And MetalStorm themselves of course.

Well.. There's the G11 but that's a different technology. I will do summer search around the net, is going to be fun. If i find something relevant i will connect you, if you're interested

As usual, you've created another masterpiece of ballistic pleasure. The weapon is sleek and stylish, the use of MetalStorm tech has finally been recognised and, just when I thought you might have reached the pinnacle of awesome, you bring up the coveted R.I.P. round. I love this weapon as with all of your creations and comend you highly... but. As awesome as this looks, I can see a major issue with the grip. As it's angled, Prolonged use and handling in field will badly wear on the users wrist. Plus, with the calibre being renowned for its extreme recoil, this will add to said wear and tear. That's the only thing I have a problem with, but otherwise I love the gun.

Sorry. I should have deviated a little on -which- grip, and yes you are right on the money thankfully. As for the recoil, my thoughts were based more towards a personal preference than anything. Again, my bad for not getting into detail: got the flu and brain's kinda blegh. I personally wouldn't use the double shot lest absolutely necessary since it both uses more ammo and esentially doubles the kick. And since making an effective recoil buffer for a weapon this compact is extremely difficult, that's where I get my query from. But again, my style is different to others.
And while I'm thinking of it, is Quicksilver planning on releasing an anti - material rifle soon? Just curious with all the recent deviations from the norm.

The funny thing is, until quite recently I haven't been able to use the F2k lower receiver well.
But now that I found out what I can do with it, I love to use it! I may be overusing it a bit lately though.

Well, this gun is a really nice thing to use F2000 lowers with. Especially with the nice foregrip you've added!

so, it has a body of a P90, pre-loaded barrels like the bulldog shotgun, and it's electric. Nice work.

wait... what? How does this shotgun work? How can you store shotgun shells in the barrel? Or is it 2 magazine tubes above 2 barrels? What is the battery pack for? Is this a guass shotgun?

caiobrazil In reply to bookyle [2014-02-18 17:27:35 +0000 UTC]
it's a MetalStrom shotgun. metalstorm is the name of the system, look it up and you'll see.
basically, it comes either in pre-loaded barrels or tubes - i guess a shell-by-shell reloading system could also be used - and the rounds are lined up one in front of the other, just like a tube magazine - except for the fact there's no magazine. tipically firing caseless ammo, the rounds are ingnited one-by-one by electric discharges - hence the battery.
theis reduces number of moving parts and increases rate of fire. however, it doesn't seem to be particularly effective as a small arms systems and is used mostly in multi-tube atrillery prototypes - imagine carboard-like things that can fire thousands of grenades per minute. now that's firepower.
as for the design of the gun itself - though i don't personally like metalstorm, this thing looks amazing, as usual.
shockwave - making awesomeness a routine

Thanks for explaining, I couldn't have done it any better myself
I suppose it wouldn't be very good for assault rifles because of the small barrel length. It just wouldn't be accurate at all. But for shotguns it wouln't matter all too much.ย
For sniper rifles or DMRs it could work. Think about the StA-14 from Killzone, that could be done with MetalStorm I suppose.
Glad you like it

Interesting concept. I knew what metalstorm is, just didn't think you'd implement it in a shotgun. No sure if it it would be a good idea to have a metalstorm shotgun. There's the huge amount of recoil , high fire rate, and limited number of rounds.
Semiautomatic shotguns are already plenty deadly, just their magazine capacity need work.

no prob!
the problem with metal storm is that it simply isn't cost effective, or easy to use. for shotguns you could give it a try (like you did there) but for sniper rifles it doesn't make sense. the main purpose of MS is to have a higher rate of fire and you don't need that in a sniper rifle. if anything, it'd make the rifle harder to operate, more time-consuming to reload and less accurate.
plus, i don't really like the idea of using an electrical ingnition system. think what'd happen to that if you were to cross a lake, dropped it in mud or something.ย

i guess only think it might have sucess at are its proposed compact artillery batteries. goddamn, those things spit out explosive rounds faster than you can say "oh shit!".

It surprised me to be a shotgun when at first sight it strikes you as an SMG.
Very modern and organic design. How is it reloaded? And what's the purpose of that secondary "trigger" on the bottom?

Shockwave9001 In reply to ScotchNvl [2014-02-18 18:56:08 +0000 UTC]
I can easily see why you'd say that.
I don't know if you have played CoD:Ghosts, but it reloads (and uses the exact same system) as the Bulldog shotgun. To reload, pull out a tube/barrel and insert a new tube, loaded with shells. The button on the bottom is to unlock the battery pack. Press it, take the battery pack off, and install a new one.

Ahh yeah I tried that weapon out once while doing a playthrough. I don't normally use shotguns in Call of Duty games yet was curious one day. I had never before seen a reload method like that before, literally confused me to no end.
