Description
Constructed in secret at the Kiris Shipyards located in an asteroid field on the very edge of the Corellian star system starting around thirty years after the Battle of Yavin, the Corellian Dreadnaughts were formidable warships, fielding numerous turbolaser emplacements and concussion missile tubes that were distributed evenly across their egg-shaped hulls. It was estimated that each such vessel possessed roughly twice the destructive power of an Imperial-class star destroyer. They were designed to engage capital ships in close-quarters engagements during large scale battles, freeing up other classes of vessels to complete their respective mission objectives.
By forty years after the Battle of Yavin, three of these massive ships had been completed and were actively serving in the Corellian Defense Force, and years later, in the Confederation Fleet. The Thracken Sal-Solo, likely named during his reign as Corellia’s Chief of State, would also become the flagship of the Confederation fleet. The two remaining dreadnaughts, however, would be defeated and destroyed during the ill-fated Battle of Hapes.

It runs contrary to what I thought of in my head but that's honestly okay. I rather like it. I like the fortified hangar doors, I like the sheer mass it projects. I had always thought of them as being a little larger, too, but that's a very minor qualm next to how appropriate the overall look of this ship feels for the Legacy era. I can see this thing in action, man. It's splendid.

Very neat, unorthodox (for most popular Star Wars ships, that is) looking Warship. I always wondered what would happen if Corellia ended up being independent or didn't stay on the New Republic's side. This just shows you should never underestimate the Corellian Ship-Makers with how most of the fleet of the Old Republic was reliant on Kuat Drive Yards they made. Excellent work ^^

It’s a shame they were used by a madman. I would’ve love to use them against the empire. Whatever threat to the galaxy.

The Five Worlds Confederation (the Corellian system), and later, the Confederation (Corellia, Fondor, Commenor, etc., worlds that seceded from the Galactic Alliance). If you haven't read the novels, it's a bit difficult to explain the factions involved.
