The piece does a great job exploring and expanding upon a design that is not well known in the fandom despite being referenced as being present during the conflict it is noticeably absent from.
The design incorporates an interesting combination of various craft types from the Clone Wars era while very obviously showing the lineage of the later TIE Fighter that would come to dominate the Empire's starfighter forces.
Seeing the fusion of other Republic era fighters with the later Imperial design lines gives the T.I.E. a unique appearance that stands out amidst the plethora of fighter designs from the Clone Wars conflict and it could easily fit in alongside the various stablemates it would have shared hangar space with.
All in all, the piece is wonderfully executed and shows the viewer a new and interesting design that we don't see get enough exposure.

I agree with your overall rating of the image. It is well-executed indeed with the technique deserving the most praise, but I don't think that this is a very balanced critique. You go on and on about the design of the ship and mention little to nothing about the actual image itself. Again, your critique is well done, albeit with too narrow of a focus.Β

It's a not-very-far-along little side project that is intended to do just that. Tack on another decade or so and give the Clone Wars and the fall of the Republic it's needed space to further develop plot-wise.Β

I have a ship idea for this project. Either eta-2 and A-wing hybrid or delta-7 and A-wing hybryd. Or maybe some kind of T.I.E. and eta-2 hybrid. What do you think about these ideas?
