I'm going back to basics, so to say. I have to develop my sense of shading a bit better, regain some past techniques I lost. I think that would help make my choice of color and depiction of lighting more effective in the long run.

I know it is in the still life category, and yes this is not a still life. But I don't consider this purely a rough "scratch" either. Too much thought when into it.
