gorgeous! i'm planning on making this too, could you please let me know how you made the bra? Did you just paint over an exsisting bra then add the details, or is the base craft foam?

One of the best armors I have ever seen:
Highlights:
1) Details on neck/shoulder piece, shadows on the inside;
2) Armband and leggings polish;
3) Sword ornaments
PS Hair and Make-up, fantastic...
Questions:
1) Materials?
2) Easy to get in/out?
Congarts

Thank you, I really appreciate it, you noticed all little details ^^
I used foam sheet ( EVA) with 1 cm et 0.5 mm diameter. Glue, coating, air spray for car as painting.
It is comfortable and easy to wear ^^ but the bust is in two parts ( one part front, one on back) I can't put it alone ^^'
It was the only way for having the most accurate with the original illustration.
For the wig, it is two wigs assembly ( sew) together with 2 different painting on them ( light blue, and purple). The flowers are in minimousse (0.2mm) I follow a tutorial for " make your own paper flower", it was just some tips for inspire me for having the good shape with my minimousse.I paint them with acrylic perlized. The little balls are in FIMO, glowing in dark
It was a very long job ( 2009 to end 2011) but I am happy of the result, it is very rare for me for being satisfied of my work ^^'
The make up was important too, I wanted a grey/bleuish like in the illustration, in adequation with the wig colors.
And, for effects, it was not a hard job, I am a garage kit builder, my other hobby is to paint figures ^^ I learned by myself ho to do effects on reliefs.
Thank you for your message it is important to see real vision of my work ^^

Opening statements:
If you dig a little you can find awesome cosplays and dedicated cosplayers pushing the envelope one step higher. Each cosplay adds something extra in your toolbox and that will serve you, one way or another, on your next assignment. So, you can see the complete evolution of a cosplayer over the years. I am used to that and to WCS events, and I also have a few friends that won that particular event and I can tell you, it is tough.
What I like about cosplays:
Complexity. The more intricate the better. The Devil is in the details, and the passion and craftsmanship too. Ok girls, in latex are fun to watch but every once in a while you came across a cosplay that hits you like a punch in the guts. The WOW factor goes off the scale and that's what gives me the thrills, chills and kills. You can't hardly wait to see what that cosplayer will cook up next. You have beautiful cosplays of Menace and Gally but I think this one set a new world record.
In a nutshell:
You are an exceptional cosplayer and an interest person to talk to. Even tough, technically, I should be working right now. Hope talking to ya some other time...
Congrats for the cosplays...

I am agree ^^ you feel the good spirit of cosplay.
I follow lot of cosplayers and I like to see how they can go to massive evolution!
I know WCS too, my friends were the french selectives last year, I was really happy for them, it was their dream, they tried 4 or 5 times to be selective.Their last tentative was a success and they show me many pictures, films, about the ambiance here in Japan. It seems really positive and unique moment!
About complexity, I admire too, even a costume who seem " easy" need lot of work and efforts.
My most complicated costume was Gabranth, I spend 6 full months of work on it.
My record of work was for Wild flower.I began it in 2009, finished it in end 2011.I wasn't again sure of myself so I waited to get more foam skill for finish it without regrets.
The costume I work actually took me 5 months.I will wear it this summer, it look " easy", but is is more difficult than Gabranth because it is 50 armors/50 sewing, and full of details. It is thefirst time I work on this kind of costume and, it is really hard as hell.
But, I do that for love of the character.I like to put my best for make honor to the character I love.It is always difficult, even small costumes give me difficulties, but is is good because I learn a lot with those difficulties
Thank you again for your long and interesting opinion ^^
regards!

This is a really impressive - the level of detail on the armor and sword is amazing. The purple accents are a nice touch and seem to make the details stand out more. It looks fantastic and I'm not surprised that you won a prize for it.
