Description
A recently-completed custom design for the North American "Ultimate Edition" of this fun, bizarre film. The retail artwork is, to say the least, gaudy and cheesy (far moreso than the movie itself) and is generally unpleasing to the eye.This design is heavily inspired by the teaser poster artwork, namely the "pillars of light" on the front, and the stone engravings of the elemental symbols on the back.

Man, if only this cover was real. It's so epic, it makes me want to pop in the movie and watch it again! It really gives off the feel of the movie. My problem with the DVD covers of The Fifth Element is that it has too much cluttered on the cover. This here is really artistic and I would have payed just for the cover alone.

I have the ultimate edition and the regular edition. The ultimate edition was a waste of money and it looks like shit. This design you created is awesome and I would have loved to see it in production. Columbia Pictures dropped the ball here.

Awesome i will be replacing my cover shortly! i love this movie. I wished for some sort of sequel. Because they went through so much trouble to create that version of the future to not use it again.

The pillars of light rock and I dig the use of the stones on the back, they were totally absent on the real cover.
If only the outside box were do-able, I'd make it a pure black with the element tattoo design on the front... would make an awesome tin.

Such a shame I got my copy before your hand got a chance to work on this. But I think I'll get my copy with this coverwork on it.
I should have asked you about some options for my poster of a fan fiction of mine (that has elements of this movie in it), called "Knights of the Avatar".
