Orpheus and Eurydice. I read many adaptations of this myth, but one struck me more than the others as it is beautiful and painful at the same time: it was Rilke’s "Orpheus. Eurydice. Hermes". I’ve known and loved this poem for years and lately I decided to make a comic out of it. At least...I tried
This is my first attempt on a comic, and to be honest is more an illustration!
I already know it’s not perfect and so critiques and advices from experts are well accepted! Anyway, hope you like it
I used ballpens, pigment liners and wax crayons; I know my handwriting is not the best, especially when carved in wax, so you can read the original poem in my journal entry!
Lines by Rainer Maria Rilke, translated by A. S. Kline, cover inspired by Rodin’s sculpture "Orpheus and Eurydice".
