It took a long time to finish this one. I tried to follow the patterns as much as possible as the reference picture.

Lovely! Although, oddly, the branch is what I like best in this picture. As I mentioned on another piece you seem to be getting a much better grasp on wood (or maybe just putting more effort into it) especially on the right/lower end of the branch. It looks photo-real. The snake is also very well done, although the larger scales around the mouth lack your usual neurotic-level of detail. I love the eye, and the lighting of this piece. I don't think I've seen you do a reptile before, usually see people or animals with fur or feathers. Lovely work.

Yes, this is the only reptile I have done and probably will remain the only one for a long time. It was not a good experience and I had to work on it for a long long time.
