I hate drawing/painting/whatevering profiles and the same for this dude as well. I can;t ever draw him right no matter what . . . so of course what I always end up doing is drawing profiles or this dude.
Smart Shonk, real smart.One day I will start learning to use references again because I don't know what I'm doing anymore.
I can't tell what needs a good kick or not . . . well I think the nose needs a kick but I'm ignoring it at the moment.Also I should not be drawing right now.
EDIT: I need to stop editing things
Fixed some proportions and crap but I still can't work out whats annoying me about it.EDIT: Ugh I promise to stop editing this from now on
I think I've gotten it as good as I am ever going to get it without just re-painting the entire thing anyway

Ummm . . . bursh tool and zoomed out really far with big canvas? I guess. I don't do a lot of detail in stuff so I guess it gets the painty/messy feel that way

I do think it is beautiful, it reminds me of the beautiful work by Janet & Anne Grahame Johnstone. They were illustrators in the 70's.
Your piece here is a little "rough" in comparison but beautiful all the same. The nose is quite captivating. The technique is pleasing to my eye.
