I think it was stated in the series once that her Requip magic has like a couple hundred armors and outfits she holds in it, so there's gonna be something for just about any occasion in that.

It's a fun series that I enjoy, but I will warn you it has it's problems, some quite frustrating, and drops off after a certain point completely. It varies on when depending on who you ask, but pretty much everyone I've heard from agrees that the final arc was not great.

The manga has, just last year. The anime is getting ready to start back up from it's second hiatus later this year to do the last couple of arcs, but it already has over 200 episodes, some OVA's, and a couple of movies, so it would take you a while to catch up if you wanted to before that happened if you decide you like the series.

i see. hmmm. Well I'll be honest. I want to but i have a list of anime I want to get to before this one, so we'll see. (I spend all my time drawing, I don't have a ton of time for anime.)

Yeah, that's always the trouble, the backlog. I tend to have something playing in the background whenever I do something at home so that's where I knock out a chunk of mine, but that doesn't work for everyone, and sometimes you have to focus more on it or what your doing.
At worst, if you find yourself wanting to watch it but not the whole thing, a good cutoff point would be the end of the Battle of Fairy Tail arc, since I believe that was where the anime was supposed to originally end while the manga continued on before the anime proved popular enough to continue, and most people that like the series agree on liking it to at least that point from what I've heard. Plus that's right before the first of the surprisingly few filler arcs, the first of which was just really bad. That's still close to 50 episodes I think, but that's ultimately just a fraction of how much there is to watch of the whole series.
