It may not rhyme, but none of my thoughts rhyme, so here goes:
Sitting here in thought,
Thinking, processing, frowning,
But I'm only here.....
Not there....
Looking across the border that man calls a room,
Wanting to get away from this rabbit hole I call a habit...
Why do I look less inspired?
Because people look down on me, with their name calling....
But I see you...
Wanting to hold up your shield to protect me...
But I look away, with a book in my hand......

Your hair is golden like a ray of light
softly blowing in the wind
a black curtain made of darkest night
around my fingers wisps are spinned
When I look into your eyes
as calm as the sea
where a lonely bird flies
and sings some sweet melody
Your hand in mine
an embrace of us two
makes me feel divine
a wish come true
In my dreams I hear the pounding of your heart
tears of heaven falling to the ground
Nothing can tear this relationship apart
Both lost and finally found
Let the fire of passion burn

Why are dreams such cruel things?
They wisk us in flights of fancy,
only to end so soon.
They Tease us with desire,
only to ignore your wish.
They show who we may love,
only to be alone again.
Could some reality only be in dreams?
Can some dreams become reality?

Great pic. Love the pose and her expression is adorable. I can;t think of any thing original for a poem for you, but I do have one I made for one of my characters that would probubly fit here.

A coffee shop, popular and busy
traffice brews and produces a scent
a sweet aroma of speech & typing
flowing conversations of news & life
I sit in this coffee shop
with latte and bag in tow
as I think about the little things
of classes, clothes, and food
A thought, passing and fleeting
reminds me of the younger times
of a man, stock and sturdy
and the happiness of his smile.
This book, brought the memory back
a sentiment of my life
to refresh me on the past
and what I left behind
I have moved on, travelled forward
breaking a bond not yet solidified
never knowing what could have been
I sit in this coffee shop, sighing on

Can't write a vampire sonnet for a child's book about kittens now!

Unfortunately, I was never as good in poetry as I was in other writing fields. If I wanted poems, songs, or spells for my stories, I asked a friend of mine to help me come up with them. The only poem I ever did that was good was my found poem I did for English class, about a ship crew on the verge of cabin fever, but I don't have a copy of it, anymore. >.< Love the picture though. Imani looks as though she's completely lost in her book.

Got a big booty
They wanna see it shake.
Why they always staring?

She is so damn tasty wit those glasses, that pose, and that expression. I have totaly fallen for girls when I see them like that. just look at her face. If I can get past the bod. I bet she actualy thinks that sweater's hidding something.

Sitting at the book store
reading my book
there's no where else to hang.
I wish I could
just find a guy
who likes the same thang.
So I stop reading
and notice everyone
watching the time fly by
I let out a sigh
of course there's a guy
looking right at my thigh
I know what he wants
only one thing
he's really looking for lovin'
But as he walks over
all I can think of
is did I turn off my oven?
"How are you ..."
is all he gets out
Before I shake my head
He looks surprised
but I look him in the eyes
and say,"You'll never get me in bed."
He laughs out loud
and now he shakes his head
and then gives me a look
"I'm sorry to bother you
I was just wondering
How are you enjoying the book?"
"I read it three times
I hope you like the end."
He turns and walks away.

I really don't know what to say.
I let out a sigh
I just found a guy
who like the same thang.
