When I was little we had a book in our house about how to draw dragons, and while I never followed any of the tutorials, 1 lesson that did stick out to me was the one that said You need to know what your dragon's inside looks like in order to know what it will look like on the outside, and it had this whole map of a dragon's bones, then guts, then muscle, then flesh.
It was MANY years before i could draw bones well enough to instigate that tip into my drawings, but now whenever i make a creature i wonder what its skeleton would look like?

This is Mona, a cross between a salamander and a human, and lemme tell you, finding a good in-between for SALAMANDER and HUMAN SKELETONS is not easy!! I didnt even do her guts because human and salamander guts are so different i didnt know what to do! Salamanders dont have ribcages or hips!!! Or kneecaps!! AND THEIR SHOULDERBLADES ARE ON THEIR BELLY SIDE
