A heartfelt reunion between husband and wife after Zhao Yun's skirmish at Changban :3 I mentioned before that he outright refused Qingyan's aid and ordered her to guard Liu Bei; And Qingyan, ever the anxious and dutiful wife, could only do as she was told in frustration. When Zilong came home with Adou, she wept tears of joy and relief. She was just very happy to see him alive and well.

I figured emotions like these are lacking in DW in general (or I'm numbed kdshfd) so it was refreshing to portray these two like this. Oh hey it's my entry for Koei-Warriors Valentines event too! I actually had a small window of free time here so hehe All things considered, and how Koei portrays their female characters, the wives almost never leave their husbands during a major battle afaik, but I decided to give Qingyan that moment of vulnerability--everything that has happened since Lu Bu was executed in front of her coming back and nearly driving her mad. In the end, Zhao Yun is the Best Boy of the Three Kingdoms and would successfully give her the ending she desires lmaaaoo. I've also decided this is sort of a hypothetical epilogue for her in DW9
