"... my father was my only family. Now that I think about it, I'm not entirely sure how I was able to live like that. When normally, a child would both have a father and mother to raise her. It was different on my case. Father raised me a single parent… but I never found out why."Jiang's only existing family portrait in her home in Gongmen City. Anyone who grew up without her mother would want to see how she looked like, even just in pictures. Sadly, Jiang, with little memory she had of her mother, never knew how she looked like and never actually knew her at all.

Kay. Enough with the drama. I doodled this last night when I needed to have something done. Sadly, I didn't know how to make that "faded" effect on Jiang's mom so I wasn't able to submit it right away. But I do love how it turned out. My Facebook friends liked it so, I thought, maybe I can show you guys too. Gee, I wish I could paint like that on real Chinese silk and ink. I better get back to that medium before I get rusty XD
Also, that'd be the final design for Jiang's dad. Srsly tho, I love her dad. *_*

Yeah about that. I'm actually one for inconsistencies when I don't complete my stories. So yeah, I guess the faintest memory Jiang would have of her mother is the warmth she felt as a peachick.

Daaaaaaawwww, look at that little Jiang, she's SO adorable!! I didn't know that she was raised without a mother, though... And never got to meet her, that sounds awful D: But who knows, depending on the reason for it...
I really liked how you did this one, it's very simple, but definitely looks like one of those tradicional family pictures, specially with those brush-like strokes and the paper :3 What a sad story... At least her father was strong and responsible enough to raise her well on his own. One more reason to like him X33 The faded/blurred effect on Jiang's mother looks great, it surely gives that feel like... She's gone (depending on the meaning of it), as it's done commonly in movies. But by what I can see, she seemed like she was very beautiful, and looked a lot like Jiang herself
All the black and dark/brown tones go along well with the texture of the paper, and I seriously liked this new design of Jiang's father! *-* The other one was already good, but this one is even better \o/

I don't think a faded effect would have done any better here actually... I like the way you have it. It looks like she's been smudged out... Like she was there and then somebody just wiped her away... Or she was there and then she was just smudged right out of existence.
