Description
My concept design for Jiang's father who'll be appearing in a flashback in my story, Honor and Glory .I tried to make his eyes shape like Jiang's eyes for a little resemblance. I based his colors from an Indian peafowl which, well, I found the colors really amusing. Now he's got an earthbender look on him XD
GAH. I've been practicing how to draw KFP-styled peafowls for the past two weeks. I like how he came out XD Hehe, see peachick Jiang there ;w; I better draw those two in a father-daughter moment some time <3
IDK maybe last KFP-related for now? I can't tell either.

I've been doodling Jiang and her dad in my sketchbook alot recently...they have such interesting designs and are fun to draw!

Ooh, he looks so cool! 
His color scheme is pretty and nice looking, it actually does remind me of earthbenders! XDD I liked the simple outfit, and it's different to see that huge tail, since you mostly draw the peahens, not peacocks 
He seems like a serious but loving and caring father to me. :3 And DAAAAWW, the little Jiang, it's SOO sweet!!

I'd like to ask what kind of paper and pencil crayon you're using?

Oh, I work on ordinary A4 paper. The color pencils I use is Faber Castell, sometimes Prismacolor but mostly Faber. Although when I colored Jiang's dad here, I used digital coloring

I was going to say he looks like an earthbender. Love how you added designs to his tail. Also what I do like is how you made his colors earthy and not bold I YOUR FACE colors. I've watched Kung Fu Panda many times to notice that they color the furs pretty toned down and not so bright.
KUDOS girl you did one thing nobody has done in this section. Design accordingly to KFP's peahen. Yes, Shen's mother was just a shadow puppet but she had only two crest feathers. Nice little shout out there, you sly artist you ^V^
Also I think you've been paying attention to the KFP concept art. Only when expressing excitement (be it fear or joy) their eyes are not draw so big and distinctive. I like how both male and female are dull. I applaud you, because we don't have to have a color distinction between male and female, the train says it all

That's awesome I adore Dreamworks and Pixar. Disney I have a love-hate relationship when it comes to their newer movies. Sadly I wish I was old enough to work with them back in the 90's when they had the golden era of the Renaissance Disney films. It seems Pixar's been kicking Disney's butt, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, Bugs Life, Toy Story 1 2 and 3. The only series I don't care for is Cars. But that's it.
With The Princess and The Frog, I didn't care for it. I just had a feeling Disney was walking on egg shells because of the sensitivity of the Princess being Black. To be honest Disney should do crossover theatrical movies. How funny would it have been if the Prince on the boat wasn't Naveen but it was Kuzco XD

Dreamworks and Pixar are definitely winning my heart. Though I have Disney for a choice because it's essentially a part of me as I grow up :T and I agree with you. Their productions are not as impressive as they once were. I mean, there was The Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan and all that but now.. just.. no. You could see a lot of wrong ><

I agree Aladdin, Mulan and The Lion King were my favorites. We all grew up on Disney, because Dreamworks and Pixar weren't around during that time X3 I hope Disney isn't losing their charm, I mean what happened to 'Be Our Guest' 'Colors of The Wind', sadly even their villain death scenes are not as epic as they used to be. Come on Scar was eaten, Clayton (Tarzan) accidentally hung himself from the vines and Gaston fell from the castle and Frollo practically went to hell XD
I think the reason why I like Shen is he reminds me of Scar and Jafar wrapped in a peacock's body. I had a crush on Jafar, something about villains makes them just so much fun to watch ^V^

I really didn't notice the similarities until now XDD that's why I grew to love Balsa. She reminds me so much of Jiang! Master Thundering Rhino is like her Jiguro.. and little Cheng is somewhat like Chagum to her XDDD
