Color sample from the mini comic "Scummy" I'm working on for the popgun anthology.I think I might have gone a little overkill with the coloring. Probably going to have to tone it down a bit so I can get it in on time!! If I had infinite time and didn't have to worry about money for living I would probably color my whole comic like this hahah

I don't you overdid it, but the BG stands out too much. It should be less saturated to show depth, especially the couch. If it's being hit by a ray of light, it would probably just be lighter.

That shading on the hair is crisp. If you keep the color count down maybe you can jazz a little extra detail here and there. This looks great, but you know how good the simple colors look on your stuff, too. *hug* You're so awesome.

this looks excellent, you pulled off that angle perfectly. I like all the little details in the kitchen, like the cutting board and the dials on the stove. Makes it feel like a real place, not to mention the wutang poster.

Ahahahah, fuck yes ma'am, you win.
I think that instead of doing the backgrounds in such amazing colouring, do them the way you are doing the other comic, make them all one colour except certain things, like the posters, the window etc a lighter shade of that colour or a washed out version of another colour.
Or just get James to do the background colours for you, and you just do the characters!
