Day 2: Water

"Tahno stands under the spray of water under the shower head. He braces is frame with a hand against the wall and watches the water run down his frame and hair that falls past his face. He feels hollow, he feels empty, angry, like a shell of himself and exhausted. Korra tells him all the time that she loves him, but right now, he doesn't see anything in himself worth loving. He's a mess, he feels like he's falling apart at the seems and is barely hanging onto the thread that is holding it all together, tempted to just let it go, let everyone see all the nastiness, all the hatred and ugliness he feels on the inside. Would Korra still love him then? Would she find something worthwhile, something worth saving, something worth staying with him for? The more sinister side of him tells him 'No,if she knew what was good for her she would take one look and run for her life, which you are doing a damned fine job in ruining,' while a small sliver of hope screams 'Yes! She would still love you! Because she's seen the ugly side of you and still remains faithfully by your side and not only puts up with you but takes care of you in every way without you having to ask. Please don't push her away, you need her, you deserve to be happy, you deserve to have someone love you unconditionally, which she does. Don't listen to the other guy, don't give up, don't give her up. Because while you feel hollow, she makes you whole.'"
