Description
Made a bit of a doodle a while back of a chibi Doctor and a Dalek and decided to clean it up and color it in photoshop.Neither The Doctor nor the Dalek are meant to be in character.

You've done some really nice work with the shading on the robot (good use of various colours, especially the 'buttons?') However, do try to keep colours within the lines, consider where the light is shining (shadows are over the place) and consider varying line thickness.

Well, apparently, Daleks were supposed to be just a monster of the week, but then they became popular enough for the producers to bring them back over and over, until they became as much of an icon for the series as the Tardis or the Doctor himself.
Yeah. I see what you mean. Mistake of trying to deviate from the default light source when there's no need. I'll see if I can fix that up later.

I cleaned up some of my stray colors and added an extra layer of shadows and highlights. It's still not great, but what do you think?

The shadows look better now. But you're also dangerously on the verge of darkening things too much. Keep in mind that unless there's an extremely strong light contrast, you shouldn't be getting obvious shades of black.
Also, look again at the Dalek's bottom bits. Overall the entire left side is in the shade, but you've still shaded bits of it as if it were on the right side.

Agreed. Daleks are more narmish, but they've got their own bit of charm too.
