Description Kidoumaru is a Japanese Yokai monster mentioned in a book "Kokon Chomonjou" in 1254.

In Kamakura era, a samurai Minamotono Yorimitsu who beat Shutendouji(boss of a yokai gang in Kyoto) visited his younger brother Yorinobu's house where Kidoumaru was captured and kept tied by the bathroom. Yorimitsu ordered to make sure Kidoumaru won't run away. During the night, Kidoumaru easily broke out and searched Yorimitsu. Yorimitsu noticed Kidoumaru was hearing him behind the door, then Yorimitsu said to his soldiers "I will visit Kurama shrine tomorrow". Kidoumaru went to Kurama in advance next day, killed an ox in a field, wore its skin to hide, then waited Yorimitsu to come. Yorimitsu noticed Kidoumaru again, and ordered to shoot the ox. Kidoumaru ran towards Yorimitsu with his sword, but Yorimitsu killed Kidoumaru with one slash.
