Description Tantankororin is a Japanese Yokai monster folklore in Miyagi Prefecture.


It is believed that Tantankororin is a fairy of Kaki persimmon. It appears with monk costume at a house which has kaki tree, walk around a town with a lot of kaki in its sleeves, and spreading kaki persimmon seeds all over the place.

Hmmm, an actual Japanese fairy that spreads Kaki persimmon seeds... Interesting!  
This seems to be one of those rare Yokai that are more benevolent than malicious.
