Description I did this scene as an illustration for my own Neverwinter Nights fanfic "Sand and Silk" (which I hope to get translated into English still within this century ):

Way downstream the fog starts to shine with a crimson glow. Smaller and larger pieces of rock burst off the towering walls and rush into the floods with a sizzling, hissing noise. The river seems to simmer.
"And she is gorgeous when she looses her temper, isn't she?"

The "earthly" model for this place is the Saklikent gorge in Turkey, where ... erm ... where I almost drowned during a canyoning excursion and where I really lost my temper about that stubborn, strong and swirling water that simply refused to let me go!

Thanks!
It has been the first time I used such an odd field of view. Moving and placing the rocks has been ... quite irritating.

Actually we tried to walk the river. It was early in April shortly after the snow melting, the waters came directly from a glacier (sometimes people do silly things ... tsss )

Hope, this link will work: If you take a look here [link]

That's our group crossing the hmmmm ... cheerful ... river. I'm the one with the green hat and the brown scarf, my husband is quite next to me.
The water has been freezing cold and muddy so we couldn't see where we step. And the current has been that strong; at first it washed away our shoes ...

Well - I survived. And this creepy experience became part of my fanfic; a chapter, where my hero is trapped between life and death ...

Whew! It really does look like someone lost her temper. I'd love to read your NWN2 fanfic; it sounds interesting. Great illustration my friend.

Take your time; it's usually better and more fun to write a fanfic when you don't rush it
