EDIT: I figured out how to scan things and make them turn out brighter instead of that weird grayish color for white, and I'm not sure how much better it is but I'm switching the file for this one. Old one is here: [link]Alright guys, this is really actually probably the last of the Homestuck for a while, because I know that some of you get annoyed with it. And I'm also really bad at coming up with ideas for fanart...
So this is sort-of a panel redraw. Kind of. And I was going to crop it, but it looked even worse somehow and so I decided not to.

I'm not the biggest fan of Homestuck, got bored after the... 150-200th page? I dunno. There's so many.
But I really like the feeling of this piece. It seems peaceful, with the sleeping... *checks previous comments* tinkerbulls, and the calm-looking waters.

Yeah, it does have a lot of pages. It's good once you get through a large amount of it because it all starts to add up better, but it's not everyone's thing and I don't blame you if you don't like it.

Oh. My. Homestuck.
I freaking LOVE Homestuck. I may have only started it a few weeks ago, but so far it's pretty much the best thing ever. But oh man, I'm only 3800 pages in, so I best not take too close a look at this picture.
*Sudden realization that Homestuck is pretty much the only thing in which 3800 pages counts as "Not very far"*

Even though I've never read Homestuck, I must say, this is a really striking piece you have here! The background is very powerful and colorful, especially with the white-grey of the characters to contrast it. I have a strong desire to jump into that body of water too. XD

I am pretty pleased with how this one came out, even though the water still looks pretty weird to me the way it just gets shallower all of the sudden... but it was really hard to get it to blend correctly and not bleed into other things that weren't supposed to be blue, so I kind of had to just go with it. I'm glad you like it though, despite it being fanart for something that you're not really interested in.

How did you get it so bright after you scanned it?

I used some program that came with the scanner that I probably should have been using way sooner, but I didn't know it existed. I usually use MS Paint to scan things... I'm sorry that's not more helpful, I only just figured it out myself and still need to mess around with it a bit.
