EDIT: Realize I forgot a big chunk of info on them WHOOPS not like anyone reads this but I want to have it down somewhere SO: when breeding the variation of the young depends on what two variations are mating. It's pretty much rock paper scissors so AB=A young BC=B young CA= C young and homozygous mixes are of course the parents' variation.A types are stronger but not very smart
B types are faster and averagely strong/smart
C types are the weakest but the smartest
OK WOW hopefully that text is read-able but a big fat species sheet thingy of my alien babies! Heh I loved fido so much and I got all of these ideas for his species so...here we go! Anyways about them being an open species, they're really only open to friends/artists I talk to UvU.
Anyways I'm happy to answer any questions about them and requests for me to draw these guys are always open all the time.

Pfft well after putting it into google translate apparently yes that is what it says xD But I was trying to be clever and make it "intelligent moth" but....google translate failed me slkdfjsdf this is what I get for not ever taking latin! Oh wow, I actually thought you'd done that on purpose as a concealed joke XDDD because they are 'very' much like 'a moth'~
If it helps, the latin for intelligent is 'intelligens', but if that doesn't appeal to you, it's often switched for purely aesthetic purposes with 'sapient'/'sapiens' meaning wise, or 'sapienti' the wise.
I've just remembered why I haven't filled out this template/meme thingy before... last time I tried, I got caught up trying to work out a decent latin name for the altamara, and had to admit defeat X'0

Aha yeah as far as the altamara they're so...different I wouldn't know what to name them either! Sort of primate, a touch of insect, but mostly..well, alien! Haha they're so cool augh you put so much work into them and their universe is just really interesting to me! I wanna draw those 4 armed chaps some time they look extremely fluid and fun to sketch(also I love lots-o-arms things but I'm sure you can tell heh)

haha don't worry about it! even REAL latin names are sometimes really, REALLY dumb.
For instance, there's a species of sea slugs (sea slugs being well known for their eaqually ridiculous group name nudibranch and for their equally dumbly named mating rituals, penis fencing) that's called Pseudobiceros HANCOCKANUS
I can only assume the poor sod who discovered them was called hancock and didn't realise what he'd done until later X'D
But gfjsak thank youuu, I'm sure you'd draw them marvelously<3 and christ, now I want to just go find a scientist and bribe them until they come up with a decent taxonomy for the Altamara...

Hehe thanks! And I definitely see the mothman resemblance haha! Also the variations get somewhat ruder as they get shorter lmfao, so while variation C is cute they're not particularly fun to hang around
