You can. She can't control when it happens. But she gets this power near the end of the series so it's not a long, ongoing power and isn't even that helpful in the final battle.

i dont like it when people give their wolf flying powers and poison, fire, and whatever a real wolf doesnt O_O
its not very natural and its weird when people give their characters more than one tail. "OOH LOOK I HAV A SWORD AND SUPER POWERS IM BETER THEN U" no ur corny -_-
just like sonic. hes blue and can run super fast is a werehog and now he has a sword and he has a very bad additude like "ur too slow!" "i can beat you no sweat!"

Ok so you don't like her. Great cause my 500 fans do like her. Same with Sonic considering he's been around for a long time.
You can't really tell me that you don't like her because of her powers. She is a cartoon character as in I can do whatever the hell I want to do with her. Basically your arguement is stupid an invalid

I like your illustration, the style is good too.
However- and this is my personal opinion and it might be offensive(if so i don't mean to piss you off)....
Don't you think she has enough powers?! o.0
You make her seem kinda like.. perfect... unable to be beat easily- when every character has their weakness.
It's just usually.. you want to stick to a couple powers... Being able to breath fire, and fly, and have this deadly poison in her fur(dun care if it's just the black fur, she's mostly black), is a bit of a stretch. D:
Now I have seen much more perfect characters... Who god... had every friggin power you can think of, it got ridiculous.
I'm not meaning to snap, it's just as I said before, I get fearful of characters with multiple powers like that.. to where it counters anything that could happen to them... Some people handle their characters with great responsibility, others like... go way over board.
Just hoping you don't get carried away is all. :3

I do understand what you're saying but let me explain my side of this.
The ref sheet doesn't have even HALF of what I wanted and needed to say because it would ruin Wolf Song but here's some other details I left out that I can explain.
She is unable to just use the poison. It is a defensive mechanism that is rarely instigated (currently only twice in the whole series) and not everything can be affected by it. The antagonist in the story, for example, has an immunity to it. So this really isn't a great power for her. More like a last resort that will hopefully work.
As for the flight ability, it really isn't a power either. She cannot create tornadoes or whatever with them; just fly. She can travel long distances but the wings can be easily damaged which is one weakness she has.
So the fire is the only true power. Plus two more secret powers that she develops in the span of the comic just to make it more interesting
I'm really glad that you notice these things. Actually I notice them too in other successful mangas. I mean how many powers do Inuyasha and Naraku have ? It's like every manga, Naraku gets magically stronger so Inuyasha gets some new power to defeat him. Then Naraku gets even stronger then he already was and Inuyasha gets even stronger. It's a never ending cycle...

Hmmm That clarifies a bit, but to tell you the truth I never thought she could create tornadoes in the first place(though I am happy she doesn't). XDD
I still think she may have a few too many abilities.... More so "strong" abilities.... But eh-4 I think it's just the poison that is bugging me....
More so because, that almost her entire body is black, and so if anything really tries to bite her(that isn't amune(sp?) to it) it will get poisoned.
What if-(and you don't really have to do this, it's just a suggestion/idea of course) only the WHITE parts of her fur contained poison? That way she'd have to get pretty clever when intoxicating her foes.
Or as you said, it just being a last defense, what if it took idk... A lot of strength out of her? Like to use this poison, it made her sleep for so long(days/ect) since it would take so much energy?
