I wanted to draw someone from the old gaang, and she was my favorite ^^
Btw- does anyone else think the only reason she was left alive for Lok is so that she could teach Korra Blood Bending?
God I hope they won't let Blood Bending disappear..

Well, obviously, only the BAMF characters were left alive from the gaang (aka Zuko and Katara). Let's face it, Toph was never as scary as Zuko or Katara could be. Aang? No comment. But, this picture is amazing, and Katara was a great character, with her water and her bending and the blood with the hope speeches... You really captured her here. Gold star to you!

This is amazing! The colors, of course are so well blended and so matching. Yes I know that they're practically just shades of blue but somehow they're done so well and they work so nicely with her skin tone too.
Katara's expression is so serious, focused, but angery as well. I would hate to be the one recieving the attack for sure. I love the shadows too, they're done so well. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with this drawing. At all. It's amazing. You're amazing. You've got some SERIOUS talent.
Plus, blood bending has not been forgotten!!

i saw a gif of old master katara with aunt wu's fortune saying "you'll die peacefully in your sleep after the birth of your third great-grandchild.." jinora is only 10, so katara isn't going anywhere for a while! i hope they feature her more in lok. this is amazing btw. i am crap at drawing water.

i know, i was thinking the same thing. that could be the way for korra to take amon down. he can't spin his way toward her if she controls his body...so who knows?? we'll just have to watch and see. they made a big deal out of it in atla as being sort of taboo, but i guess now with a huge threat like amon, maybe they'll have to resort to that?

In a way, Blood is life, so maybe Katara already DID find a means to heal with Bloodbending, I actually have that In mind for a Zuatra fic...she IS a pretty awesome bender, so I hope she keeps her bending hehe!^^
