So much hair! Ah, it's beautiful!
I can't imagine how long it took you though! Yikes that must have been quite an adventure!
But you did it beautifully. The whole picture comes together quite nicely. I'm really fond of all the detail in this, with her hair and the soft ruffles on her clothing. You are an expert at defining the minutest of details for me. I love it because it really lends to the overall realism of the picture. And that makes me happy.
And can I just say that I'm in love with the contrast between her face and her hair? You have one that is smooth, flawless in many respects. Simply beauty (her face). And then the other, frames that simple beauty with it's wild, defined tendrils and movement. It makes a striking contrast that I find very pleasing and in many respects it balances the picture quite nicely.
And I love how shadows and light play a part in this picture. It adds so much depth to her features and her hair and gives the picture movement and life. It really lends to this sense of realism with the picture and makes everything more vibrant.

I've always loved that pre-raphaelite look with the wild hair and pale features.
You, as always, catch everything! The shadowing in this was pretty intense, and I really didn't even get it enough, but worked on it till I thought I was close.

Omg, yeah you know how to use your shading pencils. Love this! Blending stubs? Is that the white material that is shaped like a pencil?

Thank you so much! And yes, I use blending stubs a lot. Almost always on hair & clothes, and sometimes the skin.
There are different qualities of blending stubs though, so if you try it, don't get the cheapest. They are all inexpensive, but don't last very long.
