I'm watching the anime...and too be honest, it is cute, but in a disturbing way. I mean, I love the fact that the teacher loves kids and wants the best of them because it means he can be a great father and a great man, but the fact that the little girls are being seductive to him is really disturbgin...and the fact that he's actually gettin affected o: I mean, if he hugs them in an innocent way, then that's cute...but most of the time..it isn't yanno? lol

Well, it is Lolita, and right in the name you pretty much know what you're gonna get. I think it's actually a really interesting bit of psychology -- in my mind Rin always seemed like an abuse victim, which she is. She's a victim of Regi (or whatever his name is, her mother's old lover) and his twisted desire to replace her mother with Rin. He doesn't see her as a child, and since he's been raising her, she herself grows to fit into his image of how she should be. She doesn't feel like a child because he doesn't treat her like one; add some knowledge of sex to that and you have a pretty obvious outcome. Because of her experience of that guy (I forget his name...) she thinks that's what all men expect of her, and doesn't know how to have appropriate relationships with male authority figures... hence the seduction. As far as the other girls... I think they're probably just following Rin's example.
I do agree that the fact that Aoki gets turned on by her behaviour despite himself is a bad sign. If he had truly pure motives he wouldn't be, and certainly wouldn't encourage her -- in his case I think not taking her behaviour more seriously and choosing to stay involved in her life at a close proximity is the same as encouragement. So IMO Aoki is a bit of a pedo. But that's why it's called Lolicon, not "Let's Psychoanalyze a Disturbed Girl."

Ohh haha... yeah no problem. I assume you've probably googled Lolita by now but if you didn't already know it comes from a Russian book about a little girl who seduces an older man in order to get things, while he's pretty much in love with her. So from that you get the Japanese genre of Lolicon (which, as a word, can also refer to a person who's interested in young girls). And then there's Shotacon, which focuses on young boys. :]
I used to be way into this stuff, I'm like having a flashback right now haha. XD I liked Kodomo no Jikan because it was written by a woman, which I thought probably lent to the realism of the characters... Oh well. Merry Christmas.

Actually, Lolita by Vlasimir Nabokov isn't about a girl seducing a man who is in love with her. It's about a sick man's sick obsession with a twelve year old girl who, though precocious and bratty and slightly sexually active, didn't deserve to be nearly molested in her sleep while Humbert lied to her about her mother being dead and then being sexually, physically, and emotionally abused as well as isolated from her friends and generally the outside world for two years of her miserable, short life.

My boyfriend found it by accident and he is like "Hon, you will love this comic. There are ten year olds trying to rape people." and I was like "Reeeaaaally?". By the end of the first volume I couldn't stop laughing. I like this couple a lot even though in reality I am not for pedophilia. I've read loli, but the outfits alone are something.
